Xbox 360 Hack: Microsoft Not Thrilled
By Donald Kaufman Microsoft hates lamp A few days ago, news surfaced of an Xbox 360 hack that would let you play all sorts of backup (ahem) discs for the original Xbox and the Xbox 360. Naturally, there's also a chance that the hack will turn that puppy you spent a few hundred bucks on into a big fat brick. Here at Xbox Today, we're not big proponents of these sorts of hacks. Part of is some sort of moral superiority, but probably a larger part rests in our fear of accidentally murdering our beloved toys. Microsoft doesn't really have these moral quandries; they don't want you to do it and threaten to "respond appropriately as unauthorized activity is identified." We don't know what means but if Bill Gates & Co. burst into your abode in the middle of the night, you've been duly warned. Here's the official word from Microsoft:
