Microsoft: Xbox 360 Backwards Compatability Not A Concern
By Nathan Bronfman Peter Moore puts foot in mouth Here at Xbox Today, we're big fans of backwards compability. There's something really comfortable about playing an old game on a new system, it's like the wonderful melding of two universes. Okay, that's a tad new-agey even for us. But we're not alone, we know there's millions of other gamers who feel the same way, minus the colorful language. And we're thrilled that the Xbox 360 is backwards compatible with a lot of Xbox games. But on the other hand, there's still a bunch of Xbox games that are unplayable on the 360, and this makes us sad. It doesn't make Microsoft's Peter Moore, VP of gaming, particularly melancholy. In an interview with Kikizo, the man was astonishingly dismissive about backwards compatability.
