Havok Tops 360 Releases
Havok announced today that three of its recent titles have used the company’s middleware[?]. The titles include The Outfit, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.
“At its core The Outfit is about delivering the freedom of total destruction,” said Adrian Crook of Relic. “We wanted players to be able to shoot, crush, roll over, and blow up everything in the game. With Havok we were able to fully realize our vision of next-generation environments that players could truly interact with.”
“With Oblivion, we wanted to push the idea of a completely real and interactive fantasy world to new levels,” stated Todd Howard, Executive Producer of Oblivion, Bethesda Game Studios. “Havok helped us do that. It’s absolutely one of the best pieces of technology we have ever used.”
“This second wave of Xbox 360 titles really sets the bar for every one that follows,” said Jeff Yates, VP of Product Management at Havok. “Their expansive environments and equally expansive use of physics show the true flexibility and performance of Havok’s game-play physics technology.”
